Like many businesses, Dynamic Play relies solely upon social gatherings for it’s source of income. This has, of course, been crippled by the outbreak of COVID-19 with social distancing measures being enforced for the foreseeable future. As a result of these measures, it has been difficult for us to implement a timescale for when we can return to business as usual.
After frantically seeking ideas to compensate for the loss of income, we turned back to our existing party services and, it was then that the concept of ‘virtual’ LEGO® Birthday Parties came to fruition. Our Virtual LEGO parties combine the Bluetooth technology used for our robots with the latest computer technology to allow children to be at the controls of multiple robots (situated at our base in Bristol) direct from their PC whether it be to race against each other or to perform tasks such as detecting objects! A video link is also streamed in real time to enable children to watch the robots reactions to a given command.
The aim of our Virtual LEGO Parties is to enable children to experience the high level of excitement that one would have at our ‘physical’ birthday parties through the medium of technology during these unprecedented times.
